Online Marketing Conference (OMK) in Lüneburg
ProCampaign® was there for the first time
On 19th September 2019 the Online Marketing Conference (OMK) took place for the 8th time at Leuphana University Lüneburg. In the new futuristic central building of the university, 1,500 online marketing specialists met to discuss the topics of e-commerce and digitisation from all perspectives. Over 50 top speakers from science, business and politics shared their knowledge in over 40 lectures, discussion rounds and master classes. ProCampaign® was there for the first time.
In addition to the latest research results, the participants received useful tips from marketing experts and valuable insights from well-known companies. Tom Alby, Cief Digital Transformation Officer at credit insurer Euler Hermes Germany, put forward the thesis in his lecture 'Sherlock Holmes of Data or the Art of Interpretation' that 80% of all reports are not read at all. It is precisely for this reason that data acquisition is particularly important, because there is no concrete goal 'you don't need to analyze either,' says the data expert.
Markus Diekmann, CCO and CDO from ROSE Bikes explained in his presentation 'Courage or Goodbye' that companies have to show courage in order to survive successfully in the trade of the future. Instead of making long-term and exaggerated annual or even 5-year plans, decision-makers should 'embark on permanent change' and be flexible in order to be able to react quickly to changes.
